The exhibition behind the scenes

The exhibition "Le cœur d’Anne de Bretagne" is the result of a highly ambitious project. Discover the making of the exhibition !

The 3D digitization of the reliquary containing the heart of Anne of Brittany

In March 2014, a 3D digitization project, in very high definition, was launched. The project brought together the scientific research teams of the Musée Dobrée (Grand Patrimoine de Loire-Atlantique), the Arc'Antique Laboratory and Stéphane Jupin, engineer and specialist in the digitization of patrimonial objects. The availability of a digital back ‘PhaseOne’ by Prophot enabled a new method that had been developed by all partners, to be tested. The result of this digitization was visible in a form accessible to all, during the exhibition in Châteaubriant. Here an experimental Web version of this application is available and the in-situ device will be open to the public as of late-2015 in a new temporary exhibition at the Musée Dobrée.

Analysis of the reliquary

Among the various studies conducted on the reliquary containing the heart of Anne of Brittany, an ‘elemental analysis’ to determine the precise composition of the different materials used, was carried out at the end of 2013. Discover the rich findings of this study with our experts!
